Washington Hawthorn is a native small deciduous tree with white spring flowers, glossy foliage, red fall color, and bright red fruit that can persist into winter. The fruit supports songbirds, and the thorny branching provides valuable cover. It works well in wildlife plantings, hedges, restoration projects, and spacious native landscapes.

Hawthorn seed has deep dormancy and commonly needs a warm, moist period followed by cold, moist stratification; some seed may require repeated seasonal cycles. Sow in a protected, well-drained seedbed and allow extra time. Germination percentage and timing are not guaranteed.
Seasonal seed item. Handle mature plants carefully because of thorns.

This collection is ideal for people building a food forest, edible native landscape, wildlife garden, hedgerow, or woodland-edge planting. Each species is packaged and labeled separately.
