Virginia Creeper is a vigorous native deciduous vine with five-part leaves, brilliant red fall color, and dark berries used by birds and small mammals. It can climb trees, fences, and masonry with adhesive-tipped tendrils or spread as a groundcover. The berries are not for human consumption.

Cold, moist stratification is commonly used for Virginia Creeper seed. Sow in a moist, well-drained medium and keep evenly moist after pretreatment. Germination may be irregular. Germination percentage and timing are not guaranteed.
