Maypop grows vigorously once established and can spread beyond its original planting area. Give it a trellis, fence, or other strong support and site it where its suckering habit can be managed.

Passiflora incarnata
Maypop is a fast-growing native perennial vine with intricate purple-and-white flowers and edible ripe fruit. It is well suited to pollinator gardens, native plantings, fences, and sturdy trellises where its spreading habit has room to grow. The flowers provide nectar for pollinators, and the foliage is an important larval food source for several fritillary butterflies. Seed-grown plants naturally vary.
Small-batch seed lots are gathered, cleaned, processed, and packed by Josh at Base Camp North with help from a few friends in Pennsylvania.
